Dubai’s 3 Day Super Sale (3DSS) has concluded, with more than 500 brands participating across 2000 outlets, supporting retail activity across the city.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the event was extended to five days this year to coincide with the 54th Eid Al Etihad holiday period. The extended format attracted local residents, regional visitors and international tourists.
Early indicators from DFRE show double-digit growth in consumer spending and footfall across participating retailers compared with the same period last year, contributing to overall retail sector performance.
Mohamed Feras, acting VP of retail calendar and promotions at DFRE, said the extended duration and the introduction of Dubai’s first 24-hour shopping format contributed to increased footfall and consumer spending.
“These results reflect Dubai’s continued strength as a global retail hub and reinforce our commitment to enhancing the city’s competitiveness and economic impact in line with the ambitions of the D33 agenda,” he said.
A 24-hour shopping event held exclusively at Dubai Festival City Mall formed part of this year’s program. Retailers at the centre recorded a 19 per cent increase in footfall and a 36 per cent rise in sales compared with the same period last year.
Fashion spending increased by 55 per cent, while food and beverage sales rose by 16 per cent, indicating consumer engagement with extended trading formats.
“The 3 Day Super Sale has once again proven to be a game-changer for Dubai’s retail landscape, driving record-breaking footfall, increased sales, and heightened consumer spending across our city,” said Hayssam Hajjar, CEO of shopping malls at Al-Futtaim Real Estate.
“This year’s extended celebration, including the first-ever 24-Hour Sale, not only unlocked extraordinary savings for shoppers but also created a vibrant atmosphere that energised our malls and communities.”
