Amazon UAE is stepping up its delivery capabilities through a new partnership with 7X, the logistics group behind EMX and Emirates Post.
The collaboration will see the e-commerce giant tap into EMX’s dark store network: Small-scale local fulfilment hubs designed to store high-demand items closer to consumers.
Amazon says it aims to improve last-mile logistics and cut delivery times for essentials such as groceries, personal care items, and electronics.
By shifting select inventory to hyperlocal dark stores, the upgrade expects to reduce road congestion and streamline its supply chain across the UAE.
“Our collaboration with Amazon leverages our extensive network through our subsidiaries to enable seamless scaling, faster fulfilment, and smarter delivery solutions,” said Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X.
While the initial phase focuses on fulfilment speed, both parties have signalled room for further cooperation. Plans could include expanding the dark store footprint and exploring alternative delivery models to better serve evolving customer expectations.
“As the partnership evolves, we look forward to exploring additional ways to support customer convenience, operational efficiency, and contribute to the UAE’s digital economy and sustainability ambitions,” Al Wahedi added.
