US-based children’s specialty retailer The Children’s Place is returning to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a strategic partnership with Al Othaim Life Company.

Through the collaboration, Al Othaim will serve as The Children’s Place’s official operating partner in the country, supporting the brand’s expansion and long-term presence.

Initial store openings are scheduled for this year, including a flagship location in Riyadh.

These locations mark the first phase of the brand’s renewed presence in the region, laying the foundation for a broader rollout across the country.

According to the company, the partnership represents a significant step forward in its international growth strategy and reaffirms its commitment to the Saudi Arabian market.

“This agreement reflects our confidence in the market and our excitement about reconnecting with customers throughout the country,” said Muhammad Umair, president and CEO of The Children’s Place.

“Al Othaim’s deep local expertise and strong retail presence make them an ideal partner for this next chapter.”

Eli Aoun, CEO of Al Othaim, added: “The Children’s Place holds strong relevance in the Saudi market, with significant potential to serve the evolving needs of our customers across all regions and cities in the Kingdom.”

Founded in 1969 and headquartered in New Jersey, The Children’s Place operates 498 stores in North America, two digital storefronts, wholesale marketplaces, and distribution in 12 countries through nine international franchise and wholesale partners.

The company first entered the Saudi Arabian market in 2014 through a franchise agreement with Fawaz A AlHokair & Co. It exited the market around 2020 amid a global downsizing of physical footprint due to the pandemic and a shift toward digital-first operations.
