Oman fragrance brand opens first presence in China’s Chengdu and Nanjing

Omani luxury fragrance house Amouage is expanding its footprint in China, launching pop-up spaces in Chengdu and Nanjing. 

The pop-ups are in collaboration with local distributor S’Young International. The Nanjing location is open until April 1, while the Chengdu SKP pop-up is open until April 30. 

The Guidance Collection’s hues inspire the spaces, combining gentle tones with brutalist and ‘rammed earth’ features. 

Amouage says the short-term pop-up installations are the brand’s first appearance in the two cities and a “critical strategic move” to develop its footprint in Mainland China further. Chengdu and Nanjing have large consumer markets with highly active premium customer bases.

Last year, Amouage opened a flagship store in China, in the heart of Shanghai’s Zhang Yuan landmark. The House of Amouage is also available in Guangzhou Parc Central, Chengdu SKP-S, Xi’an SKP-S, and Wuhan SKP. 

Amouage is a High Perfumery House founded in the Sultanate of Oman in 1983 by the Albusaidi family to be ‘The Gift of Kings’.
