US burger chain Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes has signed a master franchise agreement with Great USA Foods to expand into the UAE.
The partnership – led by Great USA Foods partners Nizar Shalwani and Roma Subazali – will see the brand open stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, followed by further rollouts in the coming years.
“We are honored and excited to join the Mooyah team and take on the role as a master franchisee in the UAE,” said Shalwani, partner at Great USA Foods.
“The brand offers exceptional products that we look forward to sharing with residents and visitors in these new markets.”
Based in Texas, Mooyah specialises in made-to-order burgers, alongside hand-cut fries and hand-spun shakes.
Mooyah president Michael Meche said Great USA Foods’ two decades of experience in building brands made it a strong partner for the expansion.
“Their business acumen and dedication to expand internationally will help drive our success in this emerging market,” Meche said.
Mooyah currently operates 80 restaurants across the US and the Middle East.
