Bright Bites, a supermarket concept designed for children, has opened inside Carrefour at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.

Developed by retail conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim, the concept combines retail, education and play and aims to encourage healthy eating habits among children.

Using a play-and-shop card, young shoppers move through five food stations aligned with global dietary guidelines, with gamified elements that encourage learning and interaction.

In addition to the supermarket, the Bright Bites Academy will host workshops, cooking classes and provide resources for parents, teachers and caregivers.

A related school program will extend the concept into classrooms across the UAE, supported by lesson plans and activity guides.

Select Bright Bites products will also be introduced in Carrefour outlets across Dubai.

“What made this journey so special is that it wasn’t just about shaping a new brand, but about creating one that speaks to kids,” said Weam Nabulsi, director for brand marketing at Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

“To do that, we had to embody their energy, curiosity and playfulness at every step, and make sure everything we did passed the test of being irresistibly cute.”
