Debenhams has closed its stores at Dubai Mall and Mirdiff City Centre and is looking to bring its offerings online.

The British department store chain closed its doors in Dubai Mall on June 12 and Mirdiff City Centre on June 22.

The company announced the closures, along with last-minute sales, on Instagram.

It also said a ‘Debenhams UAE’ online store will launch “soon”, but did not reveal the exact date.

Debenhams only has offline stores in the Mena region, which are operated by Alshaya Group.

The chain shut down all of its brick-and-mortar stores in other markets after being acquired by Boohoo Group in 2021, and has since been an online-only brand in Europe.
