A new ‘Fashion District’ is set to launch in Riyadh, led by the Saudi Fashion Commission and Four Directions Real Estate Company.

The project aims to develop a fashion ecosystem that includes show venues, design and production studios, talent incubation, retail, hospitality and workspaces.

Burak Cakmak, CEO of Saudi Fashion Commission, said the district expects to attract investment opportunities and help the sector grow worldwide.

“Fashion district is not simply an urban development project,” he explained.

“It is an integrated ecosystem that supports the fashion value chain and reinforces Riyadh’s position as a global hub for the creative economy.”

Mohammed Al-Zaraa, CEO of Four Directions Real Estate Development Company, praised the commission’s efforts to foster growth in the region.

“Partnering with the Fashion Commission stems from our belief in transforming culture into a sustainable industry and delivering landmark projects that support the creative economy, while elevating Riyadh’s status as a global city for culture and innovation,” he added.

The exact location has yet to be confirmed, though the commission said the district could be located near King Saud University. The project is tentatively scheduled for completion around 2028, subject to change.
