American sandwich chain Subway is expanding its presence in Qatar after signing a master franchise agreement with Alamtiazat Al Alamyah Food Stuff, part of Al Mana International Holding.

Under the agreement, Alamtiazat Al Alamyah Food Stuff will hold the exclusive rights to manage and develop all Subway restaurants in the region.

The group will continue rolling out the chain’s latest store design and boost the brand’s digital experience across new and existing locations, building on their partnership that began in 2010.

“We’re excited to advance our partnership with Subway,” said Abdulrahman Al Mana, CEO of Alamtiazat Al Alamyah Food Stuff.

“Together we are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every guest.”

Over the past four years, Subway has signed six new master franchise agreements across Qatar, creating scope for more than 800 new restaurants.

“Subway has become a favourite, driven by growing demand from guests who value freshly made, convenient and affordable meals,” added Tracy Gehlan, president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Subway.

“With proven experience operating Subway restaurants, Alamtiazat Al Alamyah Food Stuff is well-positioned to accelerate growth and welcome even more guests across the country.”
