Texas-based restaurant chain Wingstop is set to open its first store in Jeddah, one of Saudi Arabia’s busiest cities.
The launch is part of a partnership with local distributor Apparel Group and will feature the brand’s signature menu, including chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, and hand-cut seasoned fries.
“From bold flavour to vibrant experiences, we’re excited to bring this global favourite closer to our customers in the Kingdom,” Apparel Group said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Wingstop revised its full-year forecast downward after reporting flat same-store sales in the first quarter, citing a challenging macroeconomic environment.
As of the end of that period, Wingstop operated 2689 restaurants worldwide, including 2301 in the US and 388 in international markets.
