Bateel is expanding into Southeast Asia by opening its first boutique in Singapore as part of its global expansion strategy.
Bateel CEO Nurtac Afridi said Singapore is the “perfect market” for offering organic and filled dates.
“Health-consciousness, quality and innovation are increasingly appreciated and being sought after by Singapore’s discerning consumer base,” he added.
Located in Takashimaya on Orchard Road, the boutique will feature polished marble, wood accents, and bespoke fixtures arranged in a layout that promotes easy browsing.
Shoppers will find a range of premium organic plain and filled dates, single-origin chocolates, date-based biscuits, nuts, and gourmet products such as syrups, bars, and spreads. Curated gift sets will also be available.
Bateel partnered with SEA and Australian retail distributor Bluebell Group to make this launch possible.
The company manages over 20 premium brands and has a wide distribution network that includes flagship stores, shop-in-shops, multi-brand concepts, wholesale, and direct e-commerce channels.
“It’s an exciting time for us to introduce Bateel in Singapore, delivering exceptional gourmet food and beverages to customers who seek quality and appreciate innovation,” said Nelly Ngadiman, MD for Australia and Southeast Asia at Bluebell.
Founded in 1932, Bateel is known for its premium selection of dates, artisanal chocolates, and elegant gift collections. The company has also expanded into cafes and restaurants, offering a unique gourmet experience. Bateel currently operates in 170 locations across 26 countries worldwide.
