Spar Saudi Arabia has opened a flagship Spar Express store at KAFD Metro Station in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), strengthening its focus on high-traffic urban hubs with round-the-clock convenience offerings.
The new store is designed to serve commuters, professionals, and visitors with a curated range of fresh food and beverage options, including items from the Spar Bakery range.
“Our focus on the Spar Bakery brand is central to this store, offering freshly brewed cafe drinks, hot and cold beverages, and dedicated food-to-go items,” said the company.
The retailer has also launched a second Spar Express outlet at the National Guard Hospital and plans further expansion across high-footfall areas in the region.
Spar Saudi Arabia has operated under the AlSadhan Group since 2016, adopting international best practices from the global Spar network to grow its footprint in the “foodvenience” segment.
Spar International, based in Amsterdam, is a voluntary food retail cooperative founded in 1932. It supports independent grocery retailers through branding, wholesaling, supply chain services, and operational systems. The network comprises nearly 13,900 outlets across 48 countries.
